Welcoming people, stunning scenery, an incredible array of wildlife: Zimbabwe is back on the map as a tourist destination.
Visitors are returning to Zimbabwe in numbers not seen for many years. It can be tricky to get around, and you might need to use scheduled charter flights. But believe us, it’s worth the time and money it takes to spot the Big Five, visit incredible archaeological sites and marvel at the sheer force and power of Victoria Falls, one of the natural wonders of the world.
We think Hwange and Mana Pools are the country’s finest safari destinations. Hwange is the largest park in Zimbabwe with over 100 species of mammals and almost 400 kinds of birds. It’s also especially revered for its huge herds of elephants. Mana Pools is scenically spectacular and deserves its listing as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Combine one or both of these parks with a stay at the iconic Falls or for something completely different, head south to Singita's Pamushana Lodge for a few indulgent days in beautiful surroundings.
Please note: The Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) issues travel advice on destinations, which includes information on passports, visas, health, safety and security. We urge you to visit their website before deciding to travel.
