Lower Zambezi Valley sits on the north-western bank of the river. The camps here are real, authentic and decidedly water-focused (think oxbows, meandering channels and lots of fishing). At some, you have the option of arriving by boat, and we think catching that first glimpse of your camp from the river is an exhilarating experience.
Mana Pools National Park, its Zimbabwean counterpart, lies on the opposite river bank. Together, they constitute one of Africa’s best wildlife destinations. There aren’t any giraffes, but you can expect plenty of elephants, buffalos, lions and leopards.
