It’s busy, hectic and unmistakably African. We always factor in plenty of time for your journey and prepare for the unexpected: during our transfer, a pride of lions escaped from the national park and ran across the road.
The Karen area’s most famous resident was Karen Blixen (of Out of Africa fame). It’s well worth taking time to visit her house. We also rate the Daphne Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage and the Giraffe Centre, especially if you’re travelling with kids.
