Hemingway's 'green hills of Africa' sit in the shadow of Kilimanjaro (and serve up some of the best views of it, especially at dawn and dusk). And, along with Amboseli, the region is famous for its large-tusk elephants, as well as regular sightings of wildebeest, zebras and lions.
