On banks of the mighty Zambezi you’ll find Toka Leya: a stretch of lovely tented rooms strung along the river, linked by raised wooden walkways.
These twelve spacious tents (including three for families) serve up unforgettable views and glimpses of local wildlife. Although they tread lightly on the environment, the solid wood and canvas constructions (complete with glass windows) feel secure. And with their indoor showers and outdoor bathtubs, they feel super luxurious, too.
The main lodge feels like a safari lodge and with its scatter cushions, warm atmosphere and copious use of wood, it has a lovely homely feel. You can easily drive into the National Park for a guided tour of the Falls from here. Sunset river cruises and rhino tracking are a must – as is simply relaxing on the wooden decks along the riverside.
