Three Trees is the brainchild of Simon and Cheryl Blackburn. It's located in the very northern part of the Drakensberg, on the site of the Spioenkop Anglo Boer War. And Simon just so happens to be an eminent expert on this battle.
The food (and atmosphere) is honest and homely. Cheryl knows a thing or two about wine and has put together a stellar list. It might not be the most spectacular accommodation (although the Churchill Suite ups the wow factor), but the overall experience is something very special.
