Sanctuary Swala is a hidden gem. Tucked deep in the Tarangire National Park, it’s where to go to avoid the hustle and bustle of the busier areas in the north.
Staying here, it feels a bit like you’ve got the entire park to yourself, especially when you wake in the morning with the front of your tent open and drink in the view.
The watering hole assures a steady flow of elephants. In fact, we think there are more elephants here than at Chobe. (Just don’t tell the Botswanans we said so.)
