Kusini is the only permanent camp in this remote part of the southern Serengeti. It’s built around a rocky outcrop that’s right on the path of the migration. As a result, you couldn’t find a more unspoilt location to witness the wildebeest as they fill the southern plains and give birth in their thousands (as well as spot the predators they inevitably attract).
This natural phenomenon is of course dependent on various factors but generally occurs between January and March. Off-season, you’re pretty much guaranteed your own private corner of the Serengeti with game sightings a common occurrence all year round. Wildlife aside, we’re big fans of their brilliant sundowners and night sky safaris.
