Kichakani is a Swahili word meaning ‘in the bush’. It couldn’t be more appropriate: this camp moves around three set locations in the bush, following the natural path of the migration.
It’s exquisitely styled and decorated for a fixed camp, never mind one that can be packed up and moved. The style is a contemporary take on a classic 18th century look – we’d describe it as a charming combination of a pioneering safari experience with bang-up-to-date comforts. Think comfortable tents, en suite facilities (including bucket showers) and a very light footprint.
