The best open skies in South Africa for star gazing. Rangers who know how to tell a story. The strangely moon-like landscape of the Karoo. It’s the little things that make Sanbona so special. It isn’t on the same scale as the Kruger. There are buffalos, lions and elephants a-plenty, although you won’t see herds of wildebeest stampeding across the plains, But if you’re looking for a family friendly safari that you don’t need to book another flight for (it’s practically on Cape Town’s doorstep), Sanbona is well worth a visit.
A great place to lay back on pool loungers after dark, cuddle up with hot water bottles and blankets, drink hot chocolate and learn about the stars from the experienced rangers.
