At Sabyinyo the service is excellent. They give you gaiters and gloves for your walk, and they'll even wash your muddy boots when you return. But it's more about the experience than the extras. It's quite a hike from the car park to the lodge, but the views are worth it. (It's also good practice for your trek.)
Several years on, I am still talking about my hour spent observing the gorillas – the family interactions were fascinating and I couldn’t believe how close we were. We really enjoyed sharing experiences with fellow guests back at the lodge, over a G&T in the lounge.
