When it comes to safari, size matters. And that's where Rattrays really raises the bar. It has one of the largest traversing areas of any lodge in the region. The result is an undisturbed game-viewing experience where your guides really don't need to take the same route twice.
You rarely see other vehicles (during our stay, we spotted a young leopard sitting on a log and had him completely to ourselves).
The rooms are large and lack for nothing. They might not be the fanciest in the area, but we think the real sense of privilege here comes from the unforgettable wildlife encounters.
The game was, as I had been promised, fantastic (maximum 4 per vehicle). The rooms are gigantic and have two bathrooms - it has a Colonial feel, but in a good way.
