One&Only Le Saint Geran is a grande dame of Mauritius hotels. She’s always been a favourite of ours. Only now, thanks to a makeover, she’s looking as fresh faced and fabulous as a hotel half her age.
The location is as dreamy as ever, on the tip of the Belle Mare peninsula next to a mile-long stretch of sandy beach. Rooms are among the biggest on the island, tastefully decorated in neutral colours and boasting views overlooking either the lagoon, ocean or beach.
The food here is worth writing home about. Dine on the freshest grilled seafood, pastries hot from the oven, pan-Asian cuisine and hearty grills. It’s up to you whether you eat at a traditional table for two or with the sand between your toes.
