When it comes to animal sightings, some camps have the knack. Mombo and its little sister, Little Mombo, are two of them. In fact, the area surrounding Mombo is widely regarded as offering the best game viewing in Southern Africa.
The camp is located on the northernmost tip of Chief’s Island, home to enormous concentrations of game – especially lions. The safari is completely land-based and the surrounding floodplains teem with animals year-round. The camp is very popular: there are only nine tents so an exclusive experience is assured and early booking is strongly advised.
