Linkwasha is one of Hwange’s newest camps and the game viewing is fantastic: open, airy tents overlook a waterhole, where animals love to congregate.
It’s home to scores of different species of animals including lions, giraffes, leopards, cheetahs, hyenas and wild dogs. But it’s most famous for its elephants – there are close to 40,000 on the park.
You might have heard you can only visit during dry season, and, technically, it’s the best time to view game and huge herds of elephants But trust us, at other times it can be just as rewarding.
