DumaTau bisects an elephant crossing, so if the conditions are right (the Cuando River sometimes disappears during the dry season), you’re almost certain to catch a glimpse of an elephant or two.
But that’s not to say your experience will fall short if the river doesn’t flow. If you’ve ever dreamed of sleeping beneath canvas but don’t fancy roughing it, this could be the camp for you. The roof might be made of fabric, but there are plenty of creature comforts and the floor to ceiling windows are almost as dramatic as the river views.
