If you’re looking for that remote, private island experience this might not be the place for you. But although Constance Ephelia is admittedly a very large resort, it’s carefully planned to create a real sense of space. It’s divided between two beaches in a 260-acre tropical park on Mahé, the main island, meaning you’re surrounded by nature at every turn.
The benefit of staying in a resort this size is the accommodation options. There are family, beach or hillside villas on the north side (with private pools). On the south side, you’ll find garden rooms and junior suites (along with the main reception and a kids’ club).
The facilities are also excellent. There are bars and restaurants on both sides, complimentary activities like tennis and squash, and a gorgeous spa set in the midst of a central mangrove forest.
