Chief’s Camp is located in Moremi, one of the most exceptional areas in all of Botswana. The game-viewing is out of this world, with prides of lions, leopards, the occasional cheetah and plenty of wild dogs: there’s a good reason it’s known as the predator capital of Africa. If the season’s right, make sure you take a ride aboard a mokoro during your stay – it’s a wonderful way to get up close to the small creatures, like the colourful reed frogs, and it gives a unique perspective on the landscape.
If you’re craving a sense of space, Chief’s Camp has some of the largest suites in the Okavango Delta. Its recently refurbished thatched-roof pavilions have lovely private viewing decks (complete with hammocks and plunge pools) and the service is second to none.
