We don’t recommend coming here if your priorities include aircon, minibars and plunge pools. This is the wild and remote Africa of 100 years ago. There are just four camps in the park – two are rarely used – so you can expect isolation at every turn.
With the exception of October, when temperatures soar, the wildlife is incredible. There are huge populations of hippos and crocodiles as well as elephants, lions, zebras, giraffes, elands and topis.
