Ah, the golden age of safari: you can sense it the second you arrive at andBeyond Bateleur Camp.
The look is very 1920s and 30s. It’s romantic, with more antiques, leather chairs, weathered trunks and copper baths than you can shake a stick at.
It’s made up of two camps, tucked away in a private concession on the border of the Masai Mara Reserve at the foot of the Oloololo escarpment. Each camp is made up of nine large tented suites and has its own pool.
The look might be vintage, but the camp is also home to a very popular (and very now) gin bar. We like to sip our drinks while looking out over the beautiful Mara scenery on the lantern-lit deck.
